AI Tab Organizer Privacy Policy

AI Tab Organizer sorts the tabs in your current Chrome window into tab groups. This policy explains what data it uses and where that data goes.

What the extension reads

When you click Organize tabs or press the keyboard shortcut, the extension reads the title and web address of the ordinary web tabs (http/https) in the current window. It does not read page content, form data, passwords, cookies or your browsing history.

Where that data goes

The tab titles and addresses are sent only to the AI provider you choose in Settings, using your own API key. The providers are TypeSafe, OpenRouter, Vercel AI Gateway or Cloudflare Workers AI. They use the data to decide which folder each tab belongs in. Their own privacy policies apply to that request. If you turn on Use backups, the same request may go to another provider you have added a key for.

The developer of this extension runs no servers and receives none of your data.

What is stored on your device

• Your settings: your API keys, chosen provider, folders and preferences. These are kept in Chrome's local extension storage on your computer and are never synced or sent anywhere except to the provider the key belongs to.
• A temporary cache of recent sorting results (web address → folder). It is kept in session storage and cleared when Chrome closes.

What we don't do

• No analytics, tracking or advertising.
• No selling or sharing of data, and no use of data for anything other than sorting your tabs.
• No use or transfer of data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Removing your data

Remove your keys in Settings, or uninstall the extension to delete everything it has stored.
